                                              RAJASTHANI FLAVOURS 

I have been born and brought up in Maharashtra but coming from a Rajasthani Background I am in love with Rajasthani Cuisine .The famous dish of Rajasthan is Dal Baati & Churma . Marwaris are crazy about this dish .It is usually eaten with the Sweet Churma , it is a delicious meal made from whole wheat . In Rajasthan , Baati is still cooked over slowly on a coal fire which gives it a mouth watering flavorsome taste . My mom makes this Dish twice a month and also when we have guests coming to our house .This meal isn't complete unless it is taken with Churma , a delicacy made by Crumbling nuts , Sugar and ground wheat which is cooked in pure desi  Ghee .

 Another authentic dish from Rajasthani Cuisine which I love the most is Gatte ki Sabzi .It is a delicious Curry prepared with Gram flour as base.Gatte means the cooked Gram flour dumplings, which are added to the spicy Curd gravy , it tastes good when it is served with plain Roti . These dishes are pride of our Rajasthan .

Garba-The Best Dance Form.

                                        Garba Raas Garba is a dance form which is originated in Gujarat .It is performed on Navratris .i.e. for complete 9 nights .Garbas are performed around a centrally lit lamp or Statue of Goddess Shakti . I and my cousins used to go for Garba when we started our college . Initially at the starting days i found it very difficult to dance but, I started dancing well when i started enjoying those beautiful songs .We used to be very excited all the nine days and I wished that these days never end . In Navratri ,both Men and Women usually wear Colorful Costumes while performing Garba and dandiya . Girls wear Chaniya Choli which is decorated with beads,shells,mirrors,stars & embroidery works.Boys and men wear Kafni pyjamas with a Ghagra which is a short round kurta above the knees and Pagadi on head with Bandhani Dupatta,kada and morjis,Youth of India has a huge interest in Garba and they are enthusiatic and full of energy to perform Garba .
